We are headed for a 2 night stay at the Sunriver Resort in May for our anniversary! We found the deal on Groupon (awesome). March is about the time of year when I start really losing it. I've been trapped indoors with little to no sunshine along with a very active 1 year old, for 6 straight months and I'm beyond "cabin fever" and closer to "SAD" (Seasonal Affective Disorder).
So we took the plunge, and decided to spend some of our tax return on this lovely part of Oregon. And although financial guru Dave Ramsey would tell us the $$$ could buy new shoes, save for a car, or be put towards our student loans....it will be worth it! The time away will make us better spouses, and better parents.

as much as i love dave ramsey, i totally agree with you. and i'm sure at times in his life he needed to live a little as well. : ) it's nice to know that you're maybe verging on that SADD thing cause ever since i had jack, if i feel down or anxious it's always at dusk when the sun goes down. it's weird. so i think i feel your pain (except your babe is 1 yr old and much more active than mine). : )
