I'm not joking about this rain people. I'm talking record for Oregon. And for friends in Utah--its probably close to the amount of rain you get after several winter months! The last 30 days has given us 4.75 inches of rain, where the normal is 1.45. May saw 22 days of rain. And to top it off, we hit a 24-hour rainfall record for June last Wednesday! The rain can be fun, especially when the pouring storms are the only real change we see in the drizzling forcast
--and when they create a monster out of our backyard stream.
Before: Pretty huh!?> All that underbrush and greenery...
After: SWALLOWED WHOLE!
We left for church last Sunday hoping we would come back to our apartment still intact! The water level rose to the base of our downstairs neighbors cement patio!

CRAZY! We drive country roads to and from church and on our way home we had to detour because the road had a running river over it. Hopefully we'll get enough sun later on to make up for all of it!
