Snow Hour!

Here in Portland we rarely see snow, something I have missed greatly since moving from Indiana, and now 'lake effect snow' is just a fondly remembered phrase. The last time we saw significant snowfall was in 2008, and I wrote about it here and here. We were really hoping for snow this winter to show Hailey, since she has never been able to see or play in it! Well, we got about 1/2 inch during 1 hour this week. That looks to be about as much of a real winter as we'll see! So here is our grand moments of snow, and we made sure Hailey took advantage of it!

Daddy taught Hailey how to catch snowflakes on her tongue!
We got her all bundled up for that 1/2 inch of snow! She would look up a lot to describe how the flakes were coming from the sky! It was very interesting to her!
Then she decided the lawn needed mowing...
 :)
Before long it was time to come inside! Hailey really did enjoy the brief snow we got, and since has asked us daily, "where is the snow, mommy?".
Maybe next year sweetie!

Hailey, you aren't supposed to mow the lawn while it's snowing! Haha, she is so cute. I don't miss living in the snow, but one hour of snow sounds like lots of fun!
